How do you make your kale chips?

To enable my kale chips are a living whole food nutrition I make my kale chips by applying a sauce comprised of whole food ingredients prepared in a dehydrator at 108 degrees.

What ingredient do you put in your kale chips?

Kale, unprocessed and uncooked whole food ingredients such as nuts, vegetables and spices.

What nutritional value do kale chips have?

Kale is extremely high in nutrient density and is on the top of the Dr. Fuhrman Aggregate Nutrient Density Index which scores by taking the amount of nutrients (vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, antioxidants) in different foods and dividing them by the amount of calories in the food.

What types of kale chips are their?

There are as many types of kale chips as your imagination can conjure! My favorite recipe is for a ‘cheesy’ kale chip but there are recipes for sour cream flavor, nacho flavor, barbeque flavor, etc. Release your inner chef and get createive!

Are there any other snack foods that you make that would replace the potato chip?

I like to make raw sprouted nuts with various flavors such as teriyaki flavors and zucchini chips as well!

How can you make food that is unhealthy healthier and still have it taste good?

Simply by being creative with living whole food ingredients. When I am developing a recipe I have a rule that it must have the “Wow” factor in flavor. This is from texture, spices and flavor combinations. From new items to creating a living whole food edition of traditional favorite standard American diet recipes such as chilli or pizza or lasagna.

What made you decide to become a whole food chef?

I had a fitness facility that primarily addressed fitness but I know that diet and exercise go together for complete health. Today, it seems diseases like diabetes, cancer and other autoimmune disorders is rampantly on the rise. We truly are what we eat and it is clear to me that what we are eating today is starting to make us very sick. The journey to becoming a Raw Food Chef enables I can take a responsible role in my own health and as well to teach others how to do the same. Besides it’s DELICIOUS!

What dessert foods do you make?

Even with all my recipes being living whole food (uncooked), wheat/gluten free, dairy free and diabetic friendly I can make a version of nearly any dessert you can think of that is sinfully delicious but also packed with nutrition. Not limited to but including: Nanaimo Bars, Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake, Fudgsicles, ice-creams, macaroons, etc, etc, etc.

Pizza and pasta are some of my favorite foods how do you make them?

These are some of the items I teach in my Whole Food Nutrition Classes in my business and they are definitely popular items!

I make pasta from vegetables using a special tool that shapes them like pasta and intense flavors for my sauces. Pizza I make fresh from scratch from the rich tomato sauce to the dairy free cheese, and gluten free uncooked crust I create out of vegetables in my dehydrator on lower temperatures.

I hope this helps, please feel free to contact me with any further questions!
